Hey, i really need to start posting more on a regular basis to just get my thoughts out and also to keep everyone updated on how im doing, people are on about it to me all the time and i just say yeh im going to post soon lol.

Ok first of all, i bought a new car finally and dont have to drive around in my saxo lol.

Its a BMW 320d SE, and i love it, its such a pleasure to drive; i had a hard choice deciding what car to buy, it was out of an audi a4, audi TT and something like the one i got.

Ok, on the poker side of things, im still playing some PLO, but started to grind out some fullring NLHE cash, its going pretty ok, heres my nl100 graph so far;

it works out as around 60-70$/hour, then bonuses on top so its pretty good.

Im actually working with one of the best FR NLHE players at the moment; WCGrider, im playing nl200 with him and i can see my game getting better by the day, and i hope i can beat the 200 level just as easy as the 100 level in no time atall and think about moving up in the future where the real money is to be made.

Umm i guess thats about it.

Sick long delayed update

basically i've been running like shit online, and i didnt feel like talking about it especially as it was still happening.

All in all im only down about 4-5k$, and i ran something like 8k down below in EV, so basically ran worse than i ever thought possible.

I've decided to stop playing SNGs for the time being; that said i will still be coaching for SNGs as i feel i am a big help to anyone who wants to get very good at SNGs. I will be focusing on my Omaha cash game from now, im playing PL100 to start and its going fine, ive been mixing in some MTTs too which are kinda worse than SNGs in terms of variance, but overall more fun.

Life; i went to nottingham in march for a tournament i qualified for last year and came 12th out of 300, kinda sucked. I played the cash games up there and finished a few hundred up tho, the experience was fun and the place is really amazing. Talking about live games, i've been going up to my local casino late nights to play some 4-6 card Omaha games, which im prob about 500 up so far over about 15 hours of play or something.

SO basically, ill be posting alot more from now on and hopefully i can keep everyone reading again, i still get hits to the site and i havent posted in 2-3 months so hopefully this will do, until i post again.

Im having so much fun learning + playing omaha atm, and its paying off, i feel myself getting better at the game everyday, and i have a good mentor available to me on msn who plays 5/10 10/20 omaha, he has defo helped my game alot.

Ok so ill post new updates in a couple of days or a week once i have some more hands @ PL100 logged so i can post some results/hands/views etc.

hey, sorry havent been posting much over xmas/new years area etc, standard stuff.

so poker,i slacked a bit over xmas /new year obv, but now picking it up again. Im playing some Pot Limit Omaha now too, also getting coached by a friend who is a pretty sick player, so i hope that goes well. Im playing some NL cash also, and still playing some SNGs under a new deal/nickname on ipoker which ill post some results/graphs later on in jan/feb.

So my initial plan was to go for supernova elite this year but i decided its a big grind, and i can still do it next year, when i got offered the coaching for PLO+NL cash i couldnt refuse as its prob +EV longterm than sticking to sngs for a whole year.
I enjoy playing omaha and im a competetive/obsessive(whichever u want to call it) person when it comes to things like this, so im gonna put alot of work into it.

My schedule will basically be like, time committed; 1/2 PLO/NL and half SNG.
im starting off with only a 3k bankroll on my new ipoker account, so im gunna grind the 30-50s for a while until i get back to around 10k+ until i can play the 100s 200s. so hoping to make between 5-10k$/month with SNGs, then with PLO/NL cash, im not too bothered, obv nice to make some profit on the side, but learning is much more important as if/when/ofcourse i get good, my hourly/profit barrier is pretty unlimited compared to SNGs. Ill keep everyone updated on how that goes.

Also, im really gonna start training properly again, i've become so lazy recently, and i miss the way my body used to look/feel, so im gunna be putting in some good time at the gym/jogging, and eating healthy. Also think im going to grow my hair back, not sure how long that will take, but hopefully by summer i will look semi respectable :P ill keep that stuff updated too.

btw, i have an xbox360 now, my xbox name is JamesCawley (took me a few hours to come up with that yes) and im mainly playing Fifa09 and guitar hero world tour atm, so feel free to add me and play me on that, im getting quite good at fifa, im £20 down vs charlie(my PLO coach) but im positive im gunna get that back out of him, playing £10 a game.

November Results

O hai dere.
So november actually turned out to be my best month so far, which is pretty unexpected since i was break even around mid november.

I basically played 6 max + MTTs for the rest of the month and it went pretty well and i managed not to have a long bad stretch resulting in some sick profit. Defintely feel the extra time ive been reviewing my game and studying some spots worked out great for me.

So heres my stats/results from november @ ipoker;

+ about 2500$ rakeback, makes that 13,000$ up total on sng, also cashed in quite a few MTTs for a profit of about 3k, so 16,000$ total on ipoker made. I also am up a bit in cash for about 1.5k, so that makes it about 17,500$ for the month, which is my best month yet.

I bought a nice 50" Plasma TV with a nice stand also which i setup today, it looks sick and so smooth playing PS3 on it.

Also, with the exchange rates as they are, $ is worth so much more now than it was like months ago, so 17.5k$ is around 11,700£, ship it.

November Goals.

hey so havent posted here in a while, had a slacky october, reviewed some etc.
only made a couple of 1000$ but probably ran worst i have so far so its np.

anyway i posted my november goals on 2+2 so i thought i'd share em here;

* 86000 VPP by december 31st starting with 2k BR.
* play good/run good.
* start going to the gym, get into routine to possibly go for SNE next year.
* not get mad in the slightest about running uber bad vs the 16/27 regs so far who have quite alot of leaks.
* possibly make a video at each stage i move up > 16 > 27 > 38 etc.
* at least 6-8 hours 5+ days a week 21 tabling continous.

i started playing stars at the end of october, played over 700 games in the last 5 days. i reached goldstar from scratch, so november i will get platinum and hopefully supernova ready for january if i decide to go for supernova elite.

My experience on stars so far has been good, ive ran pretty badly, some of the regs make really questionable plays, yet they are fairly big winners :(

my hand really doesnt matter here, he knows im on ATC, the bad beat isnt the case.
even when im pushing 100%, its still -0.3% EV for him to call here with the other shortie, and thats when im on 100%, any lower and it becomes a really huge mistake.

This is just ridiculous from a winning regular.. he is like 15% roi over 3k+ games.
his call is -0.7% if im on 100%, any less than 100% and it becomes huge.

If he puts me on about 5% here, which is AQo+, 99+, which for 12BBs is probably the loosest range, this is a -1.7% call and its such a huge leak...

hopefully november will be a good month, i plan to play at least 3000 SNGs towards making supernova, and hopefully i can run well, ive basically had a pretty bad stretch on stars of about 1500 games which is pretty gay since i only just started here, but good to have a bad patch i guess, makes the good days feel even better :)

September is over...... finally.

Longest month ever. I did a rake race with a friend, basically playing non stop the whole month, we played about 8 hours a day each. We didn't run so well expectation wise, but we still managed to make 15000$, so $7500 each or £4100, not a bad month but i am hoping to make more playing my 10 max STT's this month in october.

The whole month was such a grind, im so glad its over, we played over 6000 SNGs together. I'm going to try and not play poker today (Tues 30th) to take a break, but i probably will end up playing, though i really should take a break, i cant help myself, im just a degen. So when i wake up (its 3am now) im going to try and not play, think i will go play some golf, maybe go to the gym for a swim or something, play some PS3, watch some more 24 which ive just started getting into and it is pretty cool so far, Jack Bauer is a pro.

On a side note, i've been swimming a little bit recently, going early in the mornings, its full of old people. They basically group up in a corner and whenever a women comes in the pool they will talk about her looks etc, its pretty funny. Me and Ben decided to label them the OAPC, Old Aged Pool Crew. They also shower naked, which isnt a pleasant site, but when i decided to shower naked myself, i did feel rather blessed. It sucks that im a crap swimmer though. Does anyone want to teach me how to swim?

Back to poker, september was probably my biggest volume month due to the amount we had to play, which i guess is good, because following months will seem easier, especially as it wasnt that fun to play constantly like that. It is a little weird than im not to happy about getting £4000 for a months work, but looking at expectations i should be making a bit more than that by playing 10 mans with less volume.

I will post up some October goals in the next few days, and i really think i will try my best to achieve them.

Life at the new flat.

Hey so me and ben have been in the flat since thursday night now, and we've been putting in some decent volume. On Saturday i played 14 hours, sunday i played 10 hours, monday i played 8 hours, although i did slack a bit yesterday and only played about 6 hours. Once i buy some new stuff for flat, aka nice TV/decorate my room up a bit more, ill post some pics on here, prob wont be till end of september/early october tho.

Poker is going good, i've been doing a rake race with a friend, which basically means we play non stop throughough the month and earn as much rake as possible. At the end of september we will split the 20,000$ between us that we win for the race, not a great amount of $$$ for the time we put in, but its pretty nice. In October tho i will be putting in a shit load of volume on ipoker+ongame 50$+ 10 max, and hoping to put in at least 2.5k games a month, hoping to make at least 10,000$ for the first month and hopefully more on the following. I'm hoping to hit an hourly rate of about 100$/hr, but we will see how the month plays out.

I am also looking to coach+stake a few players, not high limits but basically 10-30$ tournaments to start off with, basically you can play using my money, i will give you personal coaching and we split the $ 50/50, i will start staking in october, im basically offering a complete package which means personal coaching from me, which will help you beat the higher games + improve your game endlessly(unless your better than me;)) and hopefully just make a decent amount of money for the both of us, send me an email or add me on msn @ james_cawley@hotmail.com . If your are living near Cardiff in Wales, id also be willing to give like a 1 week coaching session where you can stay with me + ben and we can just sweat you non stop + just coach.
